JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — A man reported Dec. 30 that he stopped his car from being stolen from his own driveway in Bellhaven Court.

The man had been seated in his kitchen when he heard the sound of his car, a 2014 Porsche Panamera, starting in the garage, which is adjacent to the kitchen. When he looked outside, he saw a stranger in his car.

The man immediately began yelling at the suspect, who jumped from the car and ran. Initially, the man gave pursuit, but soon lost the suspect when he ran into a waiting vehicle.

Only the suspect’s left sandal was left behind.

The man described the suspect as a 20-25 year old black man. His escape car was described as a dark four-door sedan.
