Thieves snatch phone from 11-year old boy

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — An 11-year old’s cell phone was stolen after suspects grabbed the device while asking for directions.

The incident occurred on Aug. 13 while the boy was riding his bicycle outside his home. The suspects, a black female in her mid-20s and a black male, pulled up to the boy in a white, four-door sedan with children in the back seat.

The female driver asked the boy for direction to The Arium Apartments’ pool when they snatched the phone and fled the subdivision where they boy lived.

The victim’s mother attempted to use the Find my iPhone app to locate the whereabouts of the phone and suspects, but the phone was displayed as off-line.

The last ping of the phone was at the intersection of State Bridge Road and Medlock Crossing Parkway.

Officers canvassed a nearby business and the Arium at Johns Creek pool but did not locate the suspects.
